The new and improved Beach Slang returned to the United States last night, and they are making a beeline to DC to open for Minus the Bear at Black Cat on Friday, March 24. The show is sold out, but make sure to arrive early for Beach Slang if you’re already going!

The Philadelphia punk quartet underwent a line-up change last year with the addition of two new members. Now, James Alex (vocals, guitar), Ed McNulty (bass), Aurore Ounjian (guitar), and Cully Symington (drums) are set to take our stages by storm, so go to the show early to see them!

Beach Slang released its sophomore album, A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings, last fall via Polyvinyl Records. It earned critical praise from all quarters. Noisey called out the first single: “‘Punks in a Disco Bar,’ the first track from the record, a typically rousing and clattering track that will probably make your day 20 percent better.”

Ready to keep on rocking, Beach Slang also released the second installment of covers in their mixtape series with Here I Made This for You: Volume 2, published on Feb. 10 via Polyvinyl. The mixtape features five cover songs originally by The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Adverts, The Modern Lovers, Tommy Keene, and The Candyskins.

Don’t miss this exciting new chapter for Beach Slang, particularly as they have a lot of great new material to play!

The show is sold out.
