Over the summer, Australian rockers Atlas Genius released “63 Days,” their latest single, via Caroline, and then the duo embarked on a massive American tour. That tour arrives in DC on Monday, Oct. 16 for a show at the Historic Synagogue at Sixth & I.

A few weeks ago, Atlas Genius took “63 Days” to a television performance on Conan. There, they explained the song is about an accidental heartbreak and that it took on a deeper meaning.

With the song, brothers Keith and Michael Jeffery realized the same forces that separate two people are the same forces that can create a rift around the world. “The layers of ignorance that we acquire through our misconceptions, miscommunications, and misunderstandings — whether they be gender, sexual, racial, or political — can leave us covered and unrecognizable in gook, and we don’t even realize it,” said a press release about “63 Days.”

And so the band launched a social media campaign called #63DaysOfLove.

63 DAYS of getting involved with charities or organizations both local and global.
63 DAYS of reaching out to those in need.
