Legendary songwriters Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford form the backbone of Squeeze, and the gents are bringing the latest incarnation of their new wave band to 9:30 Club on Tuesday, Nov. 28. You can win tickets to see them with Parklife DC by joining a free raffle at Dodge City on Thursday, Oct. 19.
Last Friday, Squeeze released The Knowledge, the band’s 14th studio album of original material, via their own Love Records. Starting next month, Squeeze will squeeze in a US leg of their Join the Dots Tour to introduce Americans to some of their new songs in places like 9:30 Club.
But of course, we recall well the Squeeze classics, which include such clever and memorable songs as “Take Me, I’m Yours,” “Goodbye Girl,” “Cool for Cats,” “Pulling Mussels (from the Shell),” “Tempted,” and “Black Coffee in Bed,” among others.

To celebrate the arrival of Squeeze, Careless Memories: A New Wave Party, our new wave dance night, is “cool for cats!” We will play some Squeeze songs at Dodge City (917 U St. NW, DC) on Thursday, Oct. 19. While you’re there, enter to win a pair of tickets to see Squeeze perform at 9:30 Club in our free raffle! We will play other UK and US new wave favorites throughout the evening, so bring a request!

To win, you must enter a free raffle at Dodge City during Careless Memories: A New Wave Party on Thursday. We will select a random winner in a ticket drawing no later than 11pm on Thursday. The winner will be notified in person at the venue. You must be present to win. Winners will receive a verification for being on the guest list of Squeeze at 9:30 Club for the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 28.
