Lost ‘80s Live, the long-running traveling retro music festival, celebrates 15 years in 2018. Lost ‘80s Live is coming to DC on Friday, Sept. 21, with a show at Warner Theatre that includes A Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, Annabella Lwin of Bow Wow Wow, Farrington and Mann (the original vocalists of When in Rome), Naked Eyes, Animotion, and Gene Loves Jezebel.
Wow! That’s a lot of talent and a slew of memorable songs. It will be totally terrific to catch Wang Chang singing “Everybody Have Fun Tonight,” Farrington and Mann perform “The Promise,” or Naked Eyes sing “Always Something There to Remind Me.”
I for one cannot wait to see Animotion perform hits like “Obsession” and “I Engineer.” The California new wavers are an act I have somehow missed live over the years.

And although I have seen him live previously, Mike Score and A Flock of Seagulls will certainly be a highlight of the show with their fantastic synthpop catalog of top tunes, including “Telecommunication,” “I Ran (So Far Away),” “Space Age Love Song,” “Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You),” “The More You Live, the More You Love,” and more.
