Alice in Chains stopped in Bristow, Virginia, recently to perform several AIC classics. The band are currently on a North American summer tour with fellow hard-rockers Korn, and I was able to see them perform at Jiffy Lube Live! Of course, I brought my camera along, and I was allowed to photograph Alice in Chains from the soundboard for the first three songs.
Alice in Chains is an American hard rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1987 by lead guitarist and vocalist Jerry Cantrell and drummer Sean Kinney. The two founding members are still out there delivering kick ass music with longtime bassist Mike Inez and rhythm guitarist and vocalist William DuVall.
Alice in Chains played 15 songs in total. The band definitely stuck to their 90’s material; playing songs mostly off the albums Facelift (1990), Dirt (1992), Jar of Flies (1994), and their 1995 self-titled studio release.
Noteworthy songs Alice in Chains played included “Angry Chair,” “Man in the Box,” “Again,” “Them Bones,” “Dam That River,” “No Excuses,” “Nutshell,” “Grind,” “We Die Young,” “Would?,” and of course “Rooster.”
