Wandering Lies is a female-fronted rock band based out of DC. By combining their do-it-yourself work ethic, and unwavering dedication with a signature sound, singer Angie Pepa, rhythm guitarist Noli Conty, lead guitarist David Chaletzky, bassist Myk Menez, and drummer Jason Brooks are paving their own road to success.

That road includes a stop for “A Song & A Slice: A Socially Distanced Outdoor Concert Series,” at Jammin’ Java on Saturday, July 11.

The group’s five-song EP was recorded at the legendary Bias Studios (Dave Mathews Band, Chuck Brown, Mary Chapin Carpenter, The O’Jays) in Springfield, Virginia, produced by Ken Barnum (33 West, Ballyhoo, The Pie Tasters), and mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, Ringo Starr, The Arctic Monkeys, Marilyn Manson).

The band were to release a new album, The Last Good-bye, and perform a record release party on Saturday, but the pandemic pushed back the album’s release date. So, Wandering Lies hopped onto the benefit bill at Jammin’ Java to raise money for Black Lives Matter DMV and AFSP.

Join Jammin’ Java for its outdoor concerts this summer, and help support some great causes! These are suggested donation shows, each benefitting a different cause chosen by the artist. The donations as well as $1 from every beer sold will go to those causes.

This series is here to celebrate the opening of Union Pie at Jammin’ Java, the venue’s newest pizza shop! Enjoy thin-crust pizza, loaded fries, salads, drinks, and cocktails in outdoor seating and limited-capacity indoor seating. Jammin’ Java serves food and drinks through the show.

Please wear a mask at all times to respect the distance to the people around you.
