Equipped with a fresh new album, DC dark pop duo Technophobia take to the stage of the Black Cat on Saturday, Dec. 5. Catch the show in a livestream on Twitch!

The show is free but the band asks for donations to benefit the Community of Hope, a DC nonprofit dedicated to healthcare and housing assistance.

After a series of highly touted singles, including “Rattle in Your Chest,” Technophobia releases Some of Us Are Looking at the Stars on Friday, Dec. 4.

Mastered at Abbey Road in London, the album brings together Technophobia’s unique layered electronics with emotive vocals and memorable hooks that merge into a cohesive powerful collection of songs. Some of Us Are Looking at the Stars will be available through all digital and streaming formats and will be released on both compact disc and vinyl from Working Order Records.

Technophobia consists of Katie and Stephen Petix, who have carved out their own space in the dark pop/electronic world of music. After the release of their acclaimed debut album Flicker Out in 2016, Technophobia toured the US extensively, establishing their reputation as a memorable live act with a positive message.

Parklife DC recently chatted with Steve about the new album and his band’s use of time during the pandemic lockdown.
