Said Kenton Slash Demon of “Peace,” “We wanted to create something that sounded futuristic but classic at the same time. The drums have some ‘70s rock and disco references to them but with a modern club music punch combined with vocals that almost sound alien. It’s definitely the most pop-ish thing we’ve done as Kenton Slash Demon so far but we feel that crafting music that sticks out from more classic underground club tracks is also a part of our DNA. It’s dance music but too slow to really work in a classic club environment and that’s what we really liked about it — that it places itself between being a ‘song’ and a club track.”
After performing at the 9:30 Club, the duo go on to Charlottesville, Virginia, and Atlanta in a string of sold-out shows before going to the United Kingdom for Bestival. So show up early and dance!
