I took my cameras to Songbyrd Music House a couple nights ago to shoot Amy Allen and Griff for Parklife, and I have to relay that both acts are definitely worth checking out.
Amy already has an incredible resume, producing a No. 1 hit “Without Me” for Halsey, and collaborations with countless others including Harry Styles for “Adore You.” She was named a Top 30 Under 30 in 2020 by Forbes, and a Top Hitmaker of 2019 by Variety. And she was the opener!

Griff, born Sarah Faith Griffiths, is a charmer. She’s outspoken about her challenges growing up a mixed-race kid in a fostering household, and it shows up in her music. Griff is vocal about the struggles of trying to find her place as in the culture clash of a Chinese mother and a Jamaican father. A recent sign to Warner Brothers Records, she’s already a buzz in the UK, so it was fun seeing her first show of her first US tour. Oh, and she’s 19.

Over a 12-song setlist, Griff drew six songs from her 2021 debut mixtape, One Foot in Front of the Other. She mixed one of the song’s tracks, “Heart of Gold,” with a cover of “Royals” by Lorde. And she performed another five songs, including “One Night,” from an upcoming record.
