Drag legends and comedy duo Trixie Mattel and Katya recently visited the Warner Theatre in DC for their inaugural tour together — Trixie and Katya Live!
I could tell you Trixie and Katya Live at Warner Theatre on Friday, April 1, was a high-end theater production about integrity and friendship, with beautiful costumes and aerial stunts — but if you are familiar with Trixie and Katya, you know that’s not true. It was actually that and more.

It was no surprise that two of the most charismatic and popular stars to ever come from Ru Paul’s Drag Race could smash so many forms of entertainment into one show. There was scripted theater, improv, stand up comedy, folk music, tap-dancing, danger, and a full ted talk. It is a meta production within a production and somehow even in a completely different setting, these two still managed to crack each other up after so many years working together. To sum it up: It is a spectacular drag show.
