Last year, British singer-songwriter Arlo Parks released My Soft Machine, her second studio album, via Transgressive Records.

Arlo Parks visits 9:30 Club for back-to-back performances, and you can win tickets to attend the show on Saturday, March 23, with Parklife DC!

In December, Arlo Parks released a deluxe edition of My Soft Machine. She then shared her cover of Jai Paul’s “Jasmine,” which has a music video following Parks through Coney Island, directed by Joel Barney.

“‘Jasmine’ has always moved me deeply — to me it’s this shadowy, timeless, and incredibly profound love song,” Parks said. “I really wanted to draw out the yearning of the lyrics and pay homage to an artist who has had a seismic impact on me and on culture. Receiving Jai Paul’s blessing to create this cover with Dave Okumu was one of the highlights of my creative journey so far.”
