Kehlani recently ignited the EagleBank Arena with unforgettable moments that will linger in the hearts of concert-goers.
On Sept. 18, the night began with two fantastic opening acts: Anycia and FLO. Anycia, hailing from Atlanta, thrilled the crowd with her viral hit “So What” before engaging in a meet-and-greet with fans. Following her, British girl group FLO, consisting of Jorja, Stella, and Renée, brought a delightful 90s vibe that reminded me of some of the greats from that era, especially with their debut single “Cardboard Box,” which gained significant traction on social media.

Kehlani’s tours have featured a host of up-and-coming artists, including Ella Mai, Rico Nasty, and Destin Conrad, highlighting her commitment to supporting new talent.
As the showtime approached, anticipation filled the air, with some fans visibly emotional. The arena buzzed with excitement until the lights dimmed, and the band struck up a tune. A white curtain dropped, revealing Kehlani performing “Next 2 U.” The live band added a unique energy, making the music resonate in a special way. Joined by dancers, Kehlani delivered thrilling dance breaks that sent the crowd into a frenzy. During her performance of “Sucia,” the dancers ventured into the audience, One person had the pleasure of having a one on one moment experience with Kehlani security thought they was a little too hands on but Kehlani didn’t mind she stated “thats what they came for and waited hours”.
This year, Kehlani released her new album Crash and an EP titled While We Wait, pulling from both to create an engaging setlist. Fans voted for their favorites from the EP, which included “When He’s Not There” and “Clothes Off.” Kehlani took a moment to share a heartfelt message, encouraging everyone to seek help from a professional therapist if they needed it, emphasizing that she wouldn’t be where she is today without her own journey of self-improvement. My personal highlight of the night was “Deep,” where the combination of bass, lyrics, and choreography was simply perfect.

Just when we thought the excitement was over, Kehlani surprised us by bringing out not one, but two special guests: GoldLink and Wale. They performed their hits “Crew” and “Bad,” both of whom share a connection with Kehlani as fellow Washington D.C. artists. She took the opportunity to express her appreciation for them, giving them their flowers on stage. For those unfamiliar with the correct pronunciation of her name, Kehlani provided a quick lesson before performing her viral song “KEHLANI.”
A particularly touching moment occurred when Kehlani spotted a young fan in the audience named Aliyah, who became the youngest attendee of the “Crash World Tour” at just 7 years old. The two danced and sang together during “Ring,” creating a heartwarming memory that Aliyah will cherish forever.
Each concert has its own unique moments, and this one was no exception. Don’t miss your chance to see Kehlani live; I thoroughly enjoyed this experience, especially as it was my second time witnessing her incredible talent on stage.
