On Sept. 25 at The Anthem, Sigur Rós was joined by the Wordless Music Orchestra for an emotive performance of songs from Átta as well as 2005’s Takk…, 2022’s ( ), and more. The orchestra swept the audience away with Jónsi Birgisson, Georg Hólm, and Kjartan Sveinsson, opening the show with Átta’s “Blóðberg.”

The band saw the return of multi-instrumentalist Sveinsson in 2022, rejoining just in time for a series of acclaimed orchestral tours the world over that began that year. In the wake of these tours, the new album, as well as unearthed, longtime favorites like 2020’s Odin’s Raven Magic, fans of the famed Icelandic outfit witnessed a wealth of new material, all sharpened by years of consistent touring.
