After dominating 2023 with two joint albums from two of hip-hop’s biggest producers in The Alchemist (The Great Escape) and Cardo (The Night Shift), Larry June is back with his first full length offering of 2024, Doing It For Me.
Going back to his roots of what made him the type of man he is today and the formula that initially brought him success, the album contains no features and focuses on Larry doing things his way, for himself. From enlightening listeners on how to move like a boss and live a healthy lifestyle, to flashing what his hard work has brought, fans ate up the new album live at the Howard Theatre on Oct. 15.
Larry has been dropping videos from the new album, including most recently “Three Piece.”

California rapper Larry June makes the simple pleasures sound luxurious. Money, weed and women live in his raps, but so do trips to the farmers market, making smoothies, and watering his plants. Growing up between San Francisco and Atlanta, Larry absorbed the best of both worlds by getting his game from the city and his sauce from the south. It’s this potent combination that sets Uncle Larry apart. From his signature adlibs to his health-conscious hustler mentality, Larry’s music is full of free game and financial advice with charisma to spare. Larry has been able to garner accolades from national press outlets such as Complex, Pitchfork, FADER, the New Yorker and more, as well as cosigns and collaborations from artists like Post Malone, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, and others.
Larry’s 2021 album Orange Print saw him make Billboard’s Heatseaker albums list and place No. 1 on Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart. Following the success of Orange Print, Larry went on to sell out a 28-city nationwide tour in the fall of 2021 without a booking agent working directly with Live Nation.
