On Labor Day weekend, the Appaloosa Roots Music Festival was the place to be in the Blue Ridge Mountains for listening to music and dancing the days away.
The festival is held in “a town for all seasons” — Front Royal, Virginia, at Skyline Ranch Resort, which is only one hour from Washington, DC.
Camping was available onsite, plus opportunities in the area to hike, horseback ride, canoe, fish, bike, and more since they’re so close to the Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The Appaloosa Music Festival was created by brothers Alexander and Danylo Fedoryka of the band Scythian. This unforgettable festival experience was started in 2015 to spotlight and celebrate roots music performed by local and international musicians that are up and coming.
As the band Scythian, they travel the world performing and recruiting a mix of music artists from various genres that they like and feature them at the Appaloosa Festival.
