Rob Zombie’s recent performance at Jiffy Lube Live as part of the Freaks on Parade Tour was a raucous, high-energy spectacle that showcased his blend of horror, metal, and theatricality.

Sharing the stage with fellow legends Alice Cooper and Ministry, Zombie closed the night with a set that was visually extravagant and sonically intense at Jiffy Lube Live on Sept. 10.

Zombie’s setlist was a mix of his solo hits and a couple of White Zombie classics, kicking off with the explosive “Demon Speeding.” From the very start, his high-octane energy set the tone for the night of headbanging and horror-fueled rock.

He moved seamlessly through tracks like “Superbeast” and “Living Dead Girl,” while “Feel So Numb” and “Well, Everybody’s Fucking in a U.F.O.” had the entire amphitheater chanting along.

Fans also got treated to White Zombie favorites like “More Human than Human,” and “Thunder Kiss ‘65” which brought back a wave of nostalgia for his longtime followers.

Throughout the night, Zombie’s charisma and wild stage presence kept the crowd’s attention fully locked on him, as he prowled the stage and worked the audience into a frenzy.

The visuals, as always, were a crucial part of Rob Zombie’s performance. The stage was adorned with multiple giant LED screens displaying horror-themed visuals, trippy animations, and clips from classic B-horror movies.

Massive robot and devil figures and eerie lighting effects accompanied several songs, turning the performance into a full-blown multimedia experience. Zombie also made use of his signature pyrotechnics, with flames shooting into the sky during key moments, heightening the spectacle.

Zombie’s band was tight, with Mike Rigg’s blistering guitar solos being a particular highlight. His skill on the guitar gave the set an added layer of intensity, especially during extended jams on songs like “Never Gonna Stop (The Red, Red Kroovy)” and “The Lords of Salem”. The thunderous rhythm section, led by drummer Ginger Fish and the bass runs of Blasko, kept the power high from start to finish.

The energetic fans fed off Zombie’s enthusiasm and the sensory overload of the show.

After leaving the stage for a few minutes, Zombie returned, wearing a Washington Capitals hockey jersey with Zombie 65 on the back, a treat for the hometown hockey team fans.

Zombie, well known for his love of the macabre, made sure to end the sensory overload of the show with his iconic track “Dragula,” a fitting finale capping off an exhilarating and visually stunning performance.

Overall, Rob Zombie’s headlining set at Jiffy Lube Live was everything fans hoped for: loud, chaotic, visually overwhelming, and packed with the infectious energy that has made him a staple of the metal and horror rock scenes for decades?
