The recent Godsmack concert at MGM National Harbor was an electrifying experience that showcased the band’s raw talent and stage presence.

The event was an intimate evening with the band as well as the final show of their 2024 Vibez Tour.

As the lights dimmed and the crowd roared with anticipation on May 5, lead singer Sully Erna and the rest of the band took the MGM National Harbor stage, launching into an engaging set that kept the audience on their feet from start to finish.

The sound quality was top-notch, ensuring that every riff, drumbeat, and lyric resonated throughout the room.

Throughout the set, Sully proved why he’s one of rock’s most dynamic frontmen, commanding the stage with his powerful vocals and engaging personality.

The chemistry between him and the other band members, bassist Robbie Merrill, guitarist Tony Rombola, and drummer Shannon Larkin was palpable, and it created a wonderful musical experience that left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. During the evening, Sully even shared a few untold stories from the bands 26-year history.

Godsmack treated their fans to a series of performances featuring acoustic and electric songs that were a mix of their classic hits like “Voodoo,” “Love-Hate-Sex-Pain” and “Serenity,” along with newer tracks like “Bulletproof” and “Lighting Up the Sky” from their later albums.

The guys also mixed in several songs that influenced them in their formative early years, like “Time” by Pink Floyd, plus an epic “No Quarter” from Led Zeppelin that featured trippy, fantastical background visuals played on the giant video backdrop, a tight cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” and they then closed the evenings music with “Come Together” by the Beatles. The atmosphere was electric all night, with fans singing along to every song and feeding off the energy of the band. Whether you were a long-time Godsmack fan or new to their music, it was an evening filled with raw emotion, powerful riffs, and unforgettable moments.
