Audrey Hobert stepped on stage holding a mannequin, also known as the opener, for her Staircase to Stardom Tour. The crowd cheered, laughed, and vibed to the loud music filling the theater that posed as the opener’s set.
About an hour after she brought out the mannequin, Audrey came on stage in stilts, a huge trench coat, and a pair of nose-and-moustache glasses. She began singing the opening track of her album “I Like To Touch People,” which set the tone for the quirky, unique, slightly off-putting show to come at the Lincoln Theatre. The crowd did not disappoint — they all met her energy as the show began.

Savannah Kirk, Audrey’s cousin, was the prop master throughout the night on June 8. She helped with all sorts of different fun, entertaining aspects of the show from dancing with umbrellas, doing a tiktok trend, or nailing a tumbling pass from one side of the stage to another. Savannah wasn’t only helping with the tour, she is an integral part of every show that people await eagerly.
As a performer, Audrey is incredibly entertaining and always in motion. She is moving from side to side, keeping the energy high throughout the entire show – she does not give the audience a rest. This show was her first time playing a seated theater and wasn’t sure about the vibe of it. She screamed at the audience to fill up the aisles, but for safety reasons that was not allowed. It was the thought that counted, because people still turned Lincoln Theater into a huge party.
A very iconic part of the show since she kicked off the first leg of The Staircase To Stardom tour back in December last year is when she brings out a trampoline for “Sue Me.” Audrey has found ways to make herself stand out from everything else going on in the world of music and creative, unhinged bits like this one have left a mark on live music – especially after her Govball debut last weekend.
The show ended on an incredibly high note when after playing, Silver Jubilee, the last remaining song on the album, she repeated “Sue Me.” but this time asked people to put their phones down and dance. The audience had an opportunity to get the song on video for the first time, but enjoy and stay in the moment at the very end – making memories and jumping until everyone was too tired.
