Bloody Knives stopped by Velvet Lounge last Friday on their fall tour. They were supported by Stems, Chester Hawkins, and Machine Drift.

Hailing from Austin, Texas, Bloody Knives is made of vocalist and bassist Preston Maddox, drummer Jake McCown, and guitarist Jack O’Hara Harris. They didn’t waste time nor words with their set: Instead, they powered through an intense set that I cannot really categorize. Their music is somewhere between industrial/metal/punk/shoegaze but I just call it “superb noise.”

Bloody Knives will be performing at Cold Waves Festival in Chicago this coming weekend so if you are in town, make a trek to Metro to catch them (along with some bigger industrial names).
