Josh Hodges and STRFKR have come dancing back into our lives with a fifth full-length album — Being No One, Going Nowhere — released Nov. 4 via Polyvinyl Records.

The album is full of introspective reflections and expositive synthpop. “Yet, for all its meditative inquisitions, Being No One, Going Nowhere burns brightest in its restructuring of STRFKR’s necessitative, dance-ready songs into opaquely glistening voyages of self-exploration. Sonically, Hodges and company have expanded their booming, slick beats and voracious earworm hooks into a nebula of unfolding instrumentals that embody the album’s philosophical gravity, as much as they accompany it,” said Steven Ward in Impose magazine recently.

STRFKR are touring in support of the new album, and they alight at the 9:30 Club on Tuesday, Nov. 30.

  1. STRFKR is so rad- my favorite song of theirs is “While I’m Alove” and I’ve never seen them in concert but they’d throw a rage because their sound is so mesmorizing

  2. STRFKR is an all around good feel group. They’ve got some sick beats and They throw awesome concerts- high energy and great songs. But my favorite song is Rawnald Gregory

  3. “Leave it all behind” def resonates with me after having a set back in my last two relationships. Moving on had been hard put this song and many of strfkr’s songs have given me the ability to keep moving forward and dance it off even during hard times.

  4. I’d have to go with Julius. It was my late Grandfathers name and so it naturally reminds me of him a bit. A very nice synthy jam too!
