Philadelphia indie rockers Hop Along recently released Bark Your Head Off, Dog, their new album, on Saddle Creek, drawing inspiration from ELO to Elvis Costello to ’70s girl group vocal arrangements. Hop Along perform at 9:30 Club on Tuesday, June 5, and you can win tickets to go with Parklife DC.
Self-produced and recorded at The Headroom in Philadelphia by Reinhart and Kyle Pulley, the album is the fourth by Frances Quinlan (vocalist, guitarist), Tyler Long (bass), Joe Reinhart (guitar), and Mark Quinlan (drums). The new songs consider what it’s like to cast off longheld and misguided perceptions, yet without the assurance of knowing what new ones will replace them.

I’d love to go see Hop Along- their Philly show sold out before I could buy a ticket, so I’d gladly drive down to DC to see them if I won a ticket. My favorite song of theirs is “Horseshoe Crabs”
