Summer is traditionally the time for outdoor music festivals, strolling along the boardwalk and kicking back with a beer and pizza. The COVID-19 pandemic has temporarily paused many of those traditions, but Jammin’ Java is doing its best to bring a few of them back.

Elizabeth II is performing a free outdoor show as part of the venue’s Summerfest Outdoor Series on Saturday, June 20.

The beloved Virginia concert hall is running a live outdoor series this summer with all donations/proceeds going to various charities including the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Loudon Abused Women’s Shelter (LAWS), the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF), and Black Lives Matter DMV. The show is free, but a percentage of suggested donations go to the cause of the artist’s choice. A dollar from each beer sold also goes to support the chosen nonprofit.

DC-based Elizabeth II performs in support of LAWS. Elizabeth II is Beth Cannon’s musical project featuring her passionate and inventive guitar work with the backing of her high energy, punchy band. Described as “an eclectic Stevie Nicks nostalgia blended with a new age youthful edge; Elizabeth II combines thunderous vocals with bluesy guitar riffs driven by pulsating rhythms.”
