Midge Ure, the legendary voice of new romantic outfit Ultravox, returns to the United States for a fresh solo tour this month. Taking time off his successful livestream series, Midge presents “Un-Zoomed And Face To Face” at City Winery DC on Tuesday, Nov. 2!

And speaking of Zoom, Parklife DC’s Mickey McCarter recently chatted with Midge via Zoom to get details on the tour and all of Midge’s other current creative endeavors.

Watch Midge Ure chat with Parklife about his 2021 USA tour:

Midge last visited City Winery DC right before the pandemic shut down the world in 2020, and there he fielded “Songs, Questions, and Answers” in a sold-out show! While locked down at home in England, the Scottish musician developed a series of livestream performances called Backstage Lockdown Club, which he airs regularly via his Patreon channel.

Midge recently wrote and recorded a new single, “Das Beat,” with his Band Electronica.

Listen to “Das Beat” by Midge Are and the Band Electronica on YouTube:

In our video chat, Mickey asks Midge about Backstage Lockdown Club and its guest appearances as well as new albums in development. Midge also shares some exciting news about a photobook he will publish from his days in the ’80s with Ultravox. The book is a collection Midge’s own photos of the band at work with behind the scenes snapshots of himself, bassist Chris Cross, drummer Warren Cann, and synthesist Billy Currie.
