Nashville-based singer-songwriter Liz Longley, best known for her stop-you-in-your-tracks voice, plays Vienna’s Jammin Java on Saturday, Nov. 18.
Her 2015 self-titled debut was described as “something more; a cleverness, a wit and a mix of musical styles” by the Dallas Morning News and called “stunning” by HuffPost. Liz’s sophomore album, Weightless, released the following year, was praised as “a thing of beauty” by PopDose. PopMatters said it was “packed with instantly memorable pop rock songs.”
Her latest album, Funeral For My Past, was described as a “stunning new album!” (Forbes) that ranged “from Americana to gospel-flavored soul to shimmering pop anthems” (Billboard). Longley turned to Kickstarter to fund the album, raising $150,000 from her devoted fanbase, the fourth-most of any female solo musician.

In addition to her stunning vocals, Longley is also known for her artful songwriting. After graduating from Boston’s Berklee College of Music in 2010, she won three songwriting contests: the BMI John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship Competition, the International Acoustic Music Awards, and the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest.
