Offset’s stop at The Fillmore Silver Spring for his Set It Off Tour was a testament to his growth as an artist and his ability to shine on his own.
We were first introduced to Offset as part of the rap group Migos, a trio of Atlanta rappers who redefined the genre. Now, Offset is stepping into the spotlight and showing us a whole new side of himself as a solo artist.
One thing I truly admire about Offset is his dedication and investment in his own career. He put his own money into this tour, which shows his belief in his own talent and vision. Many people were unsure of what was next for Offset after the breakup with his band members, but he proved that he is a true showman at heart during his performance at The Fillmore Silver Spring on March 12.
The visuals for his hit song “FAN” were nothing short of incredible during the show. The reference to Michael Jackson’s Thriller added a fresh and exciting element to the performance. I was thrilled to see a few background dancers join Offset on tour, as it added another layer of choreography and energy to the show. It’s clear that Offset is heavily influenced by the greats like James Brown and Michael Jackson, and I could see hints of their iconic moves throughout his performance. From the glove to the way he holds the mic stand, Offset pays homage to these legends in his own unique way. Even the foot slide move, reminiscent of both James and Michael when they were in the zone, was a testament to his artistry.

Offset’s personal style is also noteworthy. Sporting a black leather vest, black leather pants, a red/black glove, and black locs, he exuded confidence and swag. There were moments where I held my breath, fearing that his pants would split due to the high kicks he effortlessly executed. But he carried himself with such grace and charisma that it only added to the excitement of the performance.
The rollout of Offset’s solo album has been nothing short of insane, and this tour is a testament to his dedication and hard work. He has proven that he has what it takes to stand on his own and deliver a memorable and captivating performance. I have no doubt that Offset’s solo career will continue to thrive, and I’m excited to see what he has in store for us next.
