The Struts have embarked on their Pretty Vicious Tour, and they arrive at The Anthem in DC on Thursday, August 1!

Last year, The Struts released Pretty Vicious, their fourth studio album, last year via Big Machine Records.

The platinum-selling rock juggernauts, who have collaborated with the likes of Kesha and Tom Morello and opened for The Rolling Stones and Foo Fighters (the latter of which dubbed them “the best opening band we’ve ever had“), seem to have finally hit their stride as they’ve harnessed the raucous nature of their live shows and transmuted it into an full-length project with Pretty Vicious. Produced by The Struts, alongside Julian Raymond (Freddie Mercury, Cheap Trick), and executive produced by Scott Borchetta, the group has managed to infuse their arena-sized energy into their most concentrated and exciting songs to date.

“This record showcases each individual member’s strengths,” The Struts frontman Luke Spiller said. “It’s some of my favorite music, hands down, we’ve ever conjured up. It’s the record everyone’s been waiting for.”

The band’s swaggering lead single, “Too Good at Raising Hell,” is out now on all platforms. Directed by Chris Applebaum (Rihanna, Miley Cyrus), the accompanying visual sees the band’s horn-adorned lead singer cheekily contemplating the consequences of a hard-partying, rock n roll lifestyle. Packed with a driving chorus and climbing guitars, the new song is the perfect introduction to a freshly-perfected sound brimming with riotous, arena-ready tracks.

Formed in Derby, England, in 2012, The Struts quickly drew a major following with their outrageous live show, and later made their debut with Have You Heard (a 2015 EP whose lead single “Could Have Been Me” hit No. 1 on Spotify’s viral chart). Before they’d even put out their first album, the band opened for The Rolling Stones before a crowd of 80,000 in Paris and toured the USA on a string of sold-out shows. With their full-length debut, Everybody Wants, arriving in 2016, The Struts released YOUNG & DANGEROUS in 2018, soon after wrapping up a North American tour with Foo Fighters. Having toured incessantly since their formation, The Struts have also taken the stage at many the world’s biggest music festivals, including Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, Isle of Wight, and many more.
