Flowerbomb, the DC rock quartet fronted by singer-songwriter Rachel Kline, played a recent show at Pie Shop, opening Color Palette, and Parklife’s Steve Satzberg went to photograph the band on stage!
In the fall, Flowerbomb bundled their 2024 Eps, Gloom Scroll Vols. 1 & 2, as a single album. The band focused on the songs of the nine-track album in their show at Pie Shop DC, beginning their set with “Do It Again” and ending in “Messy” on Jan. 31.
Flowerbomb spotlighted their 2022 album, Pretty Dark, with their popular tune “Sorry.” Pretty Dark won best rock album at the local 2021 Wammie Awards, and “Sorry” is full of driving raucous guitars, a staple of the band’s bubblegrunge genre.

Flowerbomb also won Wammie Awards for best song and best rock band in 2023 and 2024! In addition to Rachel, the band includes producer Dan Abh on drums, Abby Rasheed on bass, and Connor White on guitar.
Flowerbomb next perform at Songbyrd Music House for the launch party of the third annual My Body My Festival along with Pretty Bitter, Cherub Tree, and Massie on March 1.
