K-pop boy group Treasure will embark on their 2025 North American tour in April. They announced the Special Moment Tour in early January, including a stop in Washinton, DC, alongside other locations like New York City, Oakland, and Los Angeles. They’ll perform at MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino on Tuesday, April 8.

The venue has become a popular stop for various entertainment and gaming events. It holds some of the biggest poker tours and hosts iconic music and comedy gigs for major acts and upcoming artists. Treasure joins acts like Zac Brown Band and Spiritbox in the line-up of artists set to perform at the venue in April. Fans can also anticipate their latest comeback with the mini album Pleasure, which will be released by the concert date.

A closer look at Treasure

Treasure was formed in 2019 through the YG Treasure Box idol survival program that was broadcast from 2018 to 2019 to facilitate the group’s formation. Their company, YG Entertainment, was also responsible for creating iconic K-pop acts like BigBang, 2NE1, and Blackpink. The group gained mainstream popularity with the release of their 2022 EP, ‘The Second Step: Chapter One,’ which featured songs “Jikjin” and “Darari” that became viral on social media.

Prior to their March 2025 comeback, Treasure’s last major release was their second full album ‘Reboot,’ and they also dropped the singles “Reverse,” “King Kong,” and “Last Night” in 2024. Live albums from their ‘Reboot’ tour in Japan and ‘Wonderland’ Fan Meeting were also released the same year. Treasure has also received recognition for being heavily involved in creating their music, which is rare in the K-pop industry. Some members have participated in writing and producing their songs and are known for their versatile sound.

Performing at the MGM National Harbor

Treasure are performing at The MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino, which has become a famous spot for holding high-profile entertainment. Poker tours often include The MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino when hosting tournaments in Washington, D.C. For example, it hosted The Moneymaker Poker Tour, a popular poker tour organized by poker legend Chris Moneymaker. Players flocked to the venue in mid-2024 for a chance to play. In addition to the tour, Moneymaker is also an ACR Poker Pro, representing the poker site across the USA as the face of the brand.

Comedy shows are also a regular occurrence, and some of the latest acts lined up to do a show are Bill Bellamy, Marlon Wayans, and Colin Jost. Music is also a big draw to the MGM National Harbor, hosting artists from various genres, like K-pop, R&B, rock, pop, and many more. In December 2024, rock band The Black Crowes performed at the venue, showcasing the caliber of musicians that play at the MGM National Harbor. Treasure is set to be a part of the many iconic artists who have performed at the stop.

What’s next for Treasure

The ‘Special Moment’ tour is one part of an exciting 2025 planned for Treasure. YG Entertainment has announced that the group is experimenting with a new sound. Much of Treasure’s discography is high-energy, but their upcoming releases will dial back the intensity. “Last Night” was the group’s pre-release single for their latest Pleasure mini album, giving fans a taste of what they can expect. A new full-length album is also in store, with a release date around July or August. Changes to the group’s leadership structure also took effect at the start of the year. Members Choi Hyunsuk and Jihoon were assigned the leadership role at their debut, but Junkyu and Asahi took over the position. The two are expected to be the leaders for the next two or three years. Fans all over the world can also look forward to many live events to watch them perform. Before heading off for their North American tour, they’ll be holding a fan concert in Seoul. It’s also reported that they’ll embark on a world tour in October.
