Grace Enger fans want to see her again. At least that’s what their signs said when she sang, “Think I Wanna See You Again.” As she recently sang the chorus at Songbyrd Music House, they all held up little signs that said “DC wants to see you again” as she belted in DC’s Songbyrd venue.
On March 11, Enger’s first headline tour featuring opening act Jake Minch stopped in DC for a sold-out show where fans interacted, sang along, and traded bracelets in the intimate venue.
Enger has been on tour before — opening for acts such as Maisie Peters and Laufey, but the It’s No Fun Tour marks a milestone as it’s the first tour of her own, months after releasing her album Alchemist.

Enger’s music seamlessly blends elements of alternative pop, indie, garage, and rock, creating a distinct sound that resonates with a growing audience. Her authentic storytelling and relatable themes have garnered her over 5 million streams, reflecting her rising prominence in the music industry.
Enger first gained attention with her debut single, “The Neighborhood,” a heartfelt track reflecting on post-breakup emotions. The song showcases her ability to convey deep vulnerability through warm guitar riffs and poignant vocals. Since 2022 she has released various singles, EPs, and the album “Well Here We Are.”
Enger also brought her opener, Jake Minch, back to the stage for their song together, “Good Stuff.” They sang the soft ballad together about a past relationship, and she joked if the ever have bad blood you’d know because she wouldn’t invite him on the setlist that night. They laughed and hugged while fans enjoyed the song. It was clear their musical chemistry belonged in a song like “Good Stuff.”
Minch’s music often features softly strummed acoustic guitar accompanied by his soft vocals, creating a sound that is both intimate and impactful. His lyrics are noted for their raw honesty, often reflecting on personal experiences and introspective themes. He played a short setlist of his songs, including some about college and friends.
Alongside typical merch of shirts and a tote bag, Enger was collecting donations for a nonprofit that donates menstrual products to those in need. She mentioned, especially in DC, now more than ever we need safe spaces and to be there for one another.
“I’m really lucky to be surrounded by kind and like-minded people,” she shared.
The merch table was also handing out punch cards for her tour. It was clear many fans had multiple punches on theirs, a testimonial to their dedication and Enger’s talent and charm.
