On his recordings, Dan Wriggins sounds like he’s right in the room with you. The leader of the Philadelphia-based band Friendship, Wriggins’ striking voice was the center of attention not too long ago at Comet Ping Pong in Chevy Chase.
Friendship got off to its start in 2017, but for many listeners the group sounds like it’s been around much longer. Wriggins’ deeply personal songwriting has helped the band quickly attract indie rock listeners and draw praise from music media.

The night of July 16, Friendship sold out Comet Ping Pong and, with support of a close ally in Philly’s 2nd Grade as well as DC’s own Dim Wizard, rewarded an attentive mid-week audience. Parklife DC was there to photograph the whole show.
