Sadie Jean recently transformed The Atlantis into her own world. With chalk on the sidewalk outside and perfectly coordinated outfits with pink, white, and lace fabrics you could tell you were entering the world of the Early Twenties Tour(ture).
As Sadie started the show laying on the pink couch that is part of the carefully curated, homey stage set-up, the energy of the 500-capacity venue shifted from eager anticipation into loud excitement. The audience simply erupted to welcome Sadie to The Atlantis stage on June 3. You could tell she was performing with all her contagiously positive energy reciprocating all the love the audience was giving her.
Since her first headline tour a few years back, Sadie mentioned she has gained confidence, lost her stage freight, and grew her passion to become the best performer she can be. She is taking guitar and voice lessons for the first time to strengthen her skills and become more confident herself. She radiates positivity and you can tell the effort she is pouring into the show as when she is on stage.
The eager and loyal fans are the ones who Sadie herself credits as the reason she is able to tour and make music as a job. She said, “[fans] are the number one thing that has shaped me into who I am now.” In many different ways, Sadie has found a way to incorporate fans into her show – giving a lucky few fans experiences and memories of a lifetime.
During “Know you Forever,” a song that celebrates valuable friendship in an album full of breakup songs, Sadie brings a set of best friends on stage. This is a big and incredibly energetic part of the show where the whole band as well as Sadie’s best friend Charles Hsu get on stage, have fun, and crown the best friends for the night. After the show, Sadie mentioned that it was her favorite song to perform that night saying it’s always fun to try new things and make memories.

Towards the end of the set Sadie used a paper fortune teller to have her fans help her pick what surprise song she played on tour. Charles makes the fortune teller before every show and it’s a bit of a surprise for what is going to be each prompt. Three fans helped come to pick “Good to Know.” When Sadie announced that was the winner the crowd exploded with excited cheers and jumps.
The show ended with “WYD Now?” which is one of Sadie’s most popular songs. The crowd was loud, united by everyone singing the lyrics back to her. It was the perfect ending to the night with relentless energy from everyone in the room. Sadie walked off with a huge smile on her face.
