Rising sensation Sienna Spiro is making waves this fall, bringing her My House Tour to a sold-out Lincoln Theatre in DC on Friday, Oct. 16. The 21-year-old British singer is touring in support of her debut album, Visitor, released July 3 on Capitol Records.

Spiro has also gained attention through her song “Material Lover,” which appeared on the soundtrack to The Devil Wears Prada 2. The upbeat, playful track complements the film’s humor and quirky personality.

But Spiro’s greatest asset is her remarkable voice. At times, her vocal range and power recall Adele, although Spiro possesses a distinctive sound of her own. That talent was on full display throughout Friday night’s performance.

Opening the evening was Summer Joy, who delivered an energetic 30-minute set to an enthusiastic crowd. Fans cheered and remained standing throughout her performance, rewarding her with several ovations. Joy possesses an outstanding R&B voice and appears to be on an upward trajectory.

A London native, Spiro began sharing singing clips on TikTok in 2021 before releasing her debut single, “Need Me,” in 2024. Just a few years later, she is selling out venues around the world.

Spiro opened her set with a dynamic rendition of “This Is My House,” standing atop a staircase that served as the stage’s centerpiece. Elegantly dressed for the evening, she immediately commanded the attention of the audience, which rose to its feet and remained standing throughout the show.

Her second song, “Time, You & Me,” sounded like something straight out of a James Bond film. Spiro’s vocals were sensational, making it one of the evening’s standout performances. With its dramatic arrangement and soaring delivery, the song seemed tailor-made for a major awards show.

By the third song, “Material Lover,” Spiro had firmly established her command of the stage. The track, featured in The Devil Wears Prada 2, offered another opportunity to showcase the beauty, range, and power of her voice.

Yet Spiro is far more than an exceptional vocalist. She captivated the audience with her graceful stage presence, humility, and ability to guide the performance from beginning to end. Between songs, she spoke to the crowd with warmth and sincerity, creating a personal connection that made the large theater feel intimate.

That sincerity also carries through her songwriting, particularly on “The Visitor,” where her emotional delivery gave the song added depth.

One of the evening’s most heartfelt moments came near the end of the set with “Pure.” Spiro wrote the song during a difficult period when her mother underwent surgery for a brain tumor, and she struggled with depression and being unable to be by her side. Her emotional delivery gave the performance particular poignancy.

As the evening drew to a close, the enthusiastic crowd seemed reluctant to let Spiro leave the stage.

Spiro continues her US tour over the coming weeks and has already announced a return to DC as part of the My House Tour (Extended), with a performance scheduled at The Anthem on Aug. 12, 2027.

Friday’s performance demonstrated why Spiro is an artist worth watching. Britain has produced an extraordinary collection of female vocalists in recent decades, including Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Dua Lipa. With her powerful voice, emotional songwriting, and engaging stage presence, Spiro has the potential to join their ranks.

For concertgoers who appreciate exceptional live vocals, Sienna Spiro is already a compelling performer. And at just 21, her future looks remarkably bright.
