In April, Maggie released her fourth full-length studio album, No One Gets Out Alive, via Big Loud. The album has won some rave reviews, with Rolling Stone calling it “one of the most successful reinventions in Nashville history”.
At The Birchmere on May 26, Maggie put the spotlight on the new record, dedicating mor than half the show to it. No One Gets Out Alive hearkens back to early ‘70s Laurel Canyon, with Maggie’s big, soulful voice taking center stage. The songs deal in both dark and hopeful themes — disillusionment in relationships, ageism, female empowerment, and living in the moment, among them.
No One Gets Out Alive’s title track took an appropriate marquee spot at the end of the main set prior to her encore.

Maggie was joined by her opener, Fancy Hagood, for a performance of “Pull You Through” from her 2018 album, Change the Whole Thing, about two-thirds through the show.
Rolling Stone declared Maggie is a “star” and NPR Music called her a “multi-genre powerhouse.” With unflinching honesty, Maggie approaches everything authentically, unencumbered by genre labels. A respected fixture of the Nashville community, she has played the iconic Grand Ole Opry over 100 times and played marquee festivals including Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, and Newport Folk Fest.
