Following last year’s album CrazyTown, which charted at No. 1 on the Official UK Country Chart and won praise from the likes of Record Collector, Maverick and RnR Magazine, acclaimed songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman is making her return with new music for 2023.
Beth Nielsen Chapman performs at Jammin’ Java on Friday, Nov. 10.
CrazyTown, Beth’s latest album, was produced by Ray Kennedy, and it was released in 2022 via Cooking Vinyl.
Her single “Back To This Moment,” co-written with Michigan singer-songwriter May Erlewine toward the end of the pandemic, is a sprightly Americana-bluegrass tune with a kick-ass backbeat, reflecting on and longing for better days gone by. This was followed by her ballad “Love” and her collaboration with Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and trans activist Cidny Bullens called “Not With You,” which they co-wrote and recorded together for Cidny’s new album Little Pieces, released Oct. 27.
