Hands down, the best album of 2006 came from a new wave quintet out of Sweden. The Sounds burst onto the American indie rock scene with their second album, Dying to Say This to You.
Dying to Say This to You won a wide audience for the band’s lead vocalist Maja Ivarsson and her talented bandmates — Félix Rodríguez (guitar), Jesper Anderberg (keyboards, piano, guitar), Johan Bengtsson (bass), and Fredrik Blond (drums). And The Sounds remember well what a great album it was, so they have embarked on a 10th anniversary Dying to Say This to You tour of the United States. That tour stops at the 9:30 Club on Monday, Nov. 28, and you can win tickets to go see the show!

I would greatly appreciate a pair of tickets. I know I listened to some of their stuff ages ago, but I’m not familiar with them, so by default, “Song With a Mission” tops my list.
Sounds like a plan!
Living in America is my favorite song. I saw them in a tiny town in Texas back in 07 and I’ve loved them since then. Can’t wait to see them again!
Favorite song is “Song With A Mission.” Best when yelled at the top of your lungs. 🙂
I’m better off dead…. -_- but really its a great song
Hurt You.
Hurt the Ones I Love!
My favorite Sounds song has to be “Night After Night.” I think it says a lot about a song when it can be performed both as a ballad and an upbeat in-your-face statement. I prefer the “Rock Version” just because I can listen to it whenever as opposed just when I’m sad. This show definitely flew under the radar for me. I have fond memories of hanging at The 930 Club with friends I’ve met through this band. I guess that was… 7 years ago?! Wow, time flies. Would love to win these as I expect my wallet will be close to empty after Black Friday gifts. Thanks!
