Jenna Raine recently brought one of the most energetic and enthusiastic crowds I have ever seen to The Atlantis. Though it is a small venue, everyone in the room brought enough energy to fill a much larger space, simply because they were so excited to be at the Jeans, Boys, and Jesus Tour.
Right on brand, attendees of all ages were decked out in denim, cowboy boots, and sparkles. Raine matched them, bounding onto the stage in sparkly jeans and a shimmering white top, clearly ecstatic to be playing for the Washington crowd on Sept. 20.
For the first time in all my visits to The Atlantis, I saw a photo backdrop set up for fans. It was sweet to watch people make friends after starting conversations with a simple, “Will you please take our picture?” Some stayed together throughout the show. People make friends at concerts all the time, of course, but with such a young crowd, it was especially nice to see those connections forming.
Once the show started, the room became the loudest I have ever heard it. Everyone was jumping — including Raine. She seemed genuinely thrilled to be there, taking time to sing directly to fans along the barricade, up in the balcony, and even toward the back of the room.

The audience danced, jumped, and sang along throughout the set. Raine was not simply performing; she was clearly having fun, which made the show that much more enjoyable. Whether she was singing with the crowd, playing piano or strapping on her guitar, she radiated joy.
Several moments stood out, including Raine giving a shoutout to her fiancé and bringing a fan onstage to spin a wheel that determined the night’s surprise song.
Raine also paused throughout the set to talk about the moments in her life that inspired her songs. Her brief speeches offered encouragement that could resonate with anyone in the room, from the youngest fans to the adults accompanying them.
And Raine might be the smiliest performer I have ever seen. By the end of the night, it seemed nearly impossible for anyone in the audience not to be smiling along with her.
