Thirty years is a long time for anything, but for being in a band it can be a lifetime. That often means beating the odds and then some. But that’s just how long Mudhoney has been making some of the best garage rock ever put to plastic. The band took some of that great music to the stage at Baltimore Soundstage on Friday.

Parklife DC previously filled you in on the headliners at Firefly Music Festival 2017, scheduled for June 15-18 at The Woodlands in Dover, Delaware. But as festival revelers well know, it’s the acts that lead up to those headliners that make for a complete day at any given music festival. Here then are our picks for acts you shouldn’t miss at Firefly 2017.

Firefly Music Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the mid-Atlantic region, today unveiled its complete lineup for Firefly 2017, scheduled for June 15-18 at The Woodlands in Dover, Delaware.
Get excited for Firefly 2016!
The fifth annual Firefly Music Festival (June 16-19) is fast approaching. The full schedule is now available here.
With seven different stages and 134 bands and artists over four days, each day of this year’s festival will bring an impressive display of musical power.
Some highlights I’m looking forward to include; Ellie Goulding, CHVRCHES, Florence + The Machine, Silversun Pickups and Mumford & Sons.
Single day passes are also available if you can’t attend the full festival.
In addition to all the music you can handle, the food and alcohol options look promising. Nearly 30 restaurants will be available, from tacos to schnitzel to curry to BBQ to chicken and waffles and more.
Of course, since the festival is in Delaware, the partnership with Dogfish Head Brewery continues in the form of a grand tent, The Brewery. This year, the specialty beers are:
- Alternate Takes #1: a double IPA (ABV: 7.8)
- Alternate Takes #2: a Belgian-style brown ale (ABV: TBD)
- Biere de Provence: a summer saison (ABV: 8.3)

Red Frog Events today announced the lineup for the 2016 Firefly Music Festival, to be held at The Woodlands in Dover, Del., on Thursday, June 16, through Sunday, June 19, 2016.
Returning even bigger for its fifth year, Firefly headliners will include Mumford & Sons, Kings of Leon, Florence & The Machine, and Deadmau5.
“We wanted the 2016 lineup to reach a wide audience while resonating with our core Firefly community,” said Christiane Pheil, Talent and Experience Director at Firefly Music Festival. “We’re confident this lineup does just that, and we look forward to celebrating our fifth year with music fans from around the world.”
Other prominent musicians performing at the four-day music festival include Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, Blink-182, Death Cab for Cutie, M83, Tame Impala, The 1975, A$AP Rocky, Of Monsters and Men, Major Lazer, and Chvrches (my personal favorite on this list).
