The iconic band Journey is bringing their massive Final Frontier Tour to DC’s Capital One Arena on Wednesday, March 4. After more than half a century of defining American rock, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers are preparing for the curtain call, offering fans one last chance to experience the rich, generation-spanning discography.

Since forming in San Francisco in 1973, Journey has evolved into a juggernaut of a band. The current touring lineup features founding guitar legend Neal Schon, longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain, and lead vocalist Arnel Pineda, whose addition in 2007 reinvigorated their live performances. They are also joined on stage by Jason Derlatka (keyboards, vocals), Deen Castronovo (drums, vocals), and Todd Jensen (bass).

The tour is billed exclusively as “A Special Evening With Journey,” and it will feature a marathon performance consisting of two full sets divided by an intermission. The band is pulling out all the stops, which, according to Schon, will not only feature inescapable radio hits but will also resurrect deep album cuts.

This tour also marks the definitive end of the core band members. Legendary keyboardist and primary songwriter Jonathan Cain has announced his departure from Journey following this run to focus entirely on Christian ministry music. He recently released an EP on Feb. 27, making this tour the final opportunity to witness the Schon-Cain creative partnership.

Some important info about this stop is a no-bag policy, and the facility is cashless. To see more info, check with the venue!
