The iconic Gary Numan will visit 9:30 Club on a return trip to DC on Friday, Sept. 21! Gary released Savage (Songs from a Broken World), his 18th studio album, last year and performed at 9:30 Club almost a year ago. Now, he’s back, and you can win tickets to see him with Parklife DC.
“The synthesizers have a widescreen, larger-than-life menace that brings to mind younger artists obviously influenced by Numan — Trent Reznor is one of the more prominent examples — but there’s a sophisticated pop sensibility just beneath the surface,” said Chris Ingalls of Gary’s latest album in a review for PopMatters.

Metal is my favorite Gary Numan track!!! Was fortunate enough to be introduced to him by NIN covering it live.
Got to go with “Conversation”. Perfect blend of catchy synth beat juxtaposed with dystopian lyrics that made me fall in love with Numan in the first place.
“Cars” forever
I’m a sucker for “She’s Got Claws.” Numan continues to impress.
Favorite song? Probably “I Die, You Die”!
