Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit released Ruins, their fourth studio album, in January via Columbia Records. The Söderberg sisters have embarked on The Rebel Heart Tour in support of the album, and they perform at The Anthem on Monday, Sept. 10.
Of their 18-date Rebel Heart Tour, First Aid Kit said: “North America, we can’t get enough of you so we’re coming back in the fall with the #RebelHeartTour. We’re looking forward to returning to some of our favorite cities again and to exploring new places like Las Vegas and Albuquerque. The venues are epic and the opening acts are epic as well. For LA and San Fran, we will be graced by the presence of our hero M Ward. For the rest of the shows, one of our new favorite artists, the incredible Julia Jacklin, will be opening. It’s going to be really special. We can’t wait to get your rebel hearts beating with us!”

Praising the latest album for Consequence of Sound, Lake Schatz said, “Regrouping after an exhaustive run on the road, sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg come off stronger as a creative unit, as well as willing to expose more of their inner selves than perhaps ever before. Here, the Swedish outfit focuses on a crushing heartbreak and the feeling of absolute purposelessness that follows, assisted by elements of Americana, folk, and ‘50s-era Everly Brothers balladry.”
