Cursive (Art courtesy Ticketfly)
Cursive released Vitriola, the band’s eigth studio album, a few weeks ago via 15 Passenger. The band are on tour with a show at 9:30 Club on Friday, Nov. 2, and you can win tickets to go with Parklife DC.
Founded by Tim Kasher (vocals, guitar) and Matt Maginn (bass) in 1995, Cursive has seen a few breaks and lineup changes over the years. The new record was well-received by critics. In a review, Fred Thomas of AllMusic says, “While it can feel relentless at times, these songs find Kasher and his bandmates swinging at anything that moves with all the passion and power of their best albums.”
