Snoop Dogg is appearing in a semi-autobiographical musical, “Redemption of a Dogg,” which features music from the rapper’s recent gospel-inspired album Bible of Love, at Warner Theatre on Friday, Nov. 9. A handful of tickets are still available!

The musical, written by Je’Caryous Johnson, co-stars singer Tamar Braxton.

“I’m excited to link up with my guy Je’Caryous Johnson on Redemption of a Dogg the stage play,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement. “Please believe you’ve never seen urban theatre like this! With my flavor and his expertise, we’re gonna bring the people an unmissable show. I can’t wait for everyone out there to see it!”

Bible of Love (also known as Snoop Dogg Presents Bible of Love) is the 16h studio album by Snoop Dogg, released on March 16 by RCA Inspiration and All the Time Entertainment.

In a review for Vulture, Craig Jenkins said the new Snoop album is “surprisingly great.” “It handles the business of melding the seemingly incompatible worlds of G-funk and gospel with respect for the mechanics of both. The beats bang when they need to, and the choirs sound crisp and inspired. Everyone is singing like their immortal soul depends on those vocal runs floating,” Craig wrote.
