Stephen Jackson brings his storied ska collective, The Pietasters, to 9:30 Club for the group’s annual holiday show on Friday, Dec. 28.
Recently, The Pietasters released their self-titled debut album, dating back to 1993, for the first time ever on vinyl. The limited edition release, available on either black or blue vinyl, is a collaboration with Jump Up Records, and it features many Pietasters classics as “Dollar Bill,” “Night Owl,” and “Without You.”

At 9:30 Club, The Pietasters will celebrate the album reissue in a big show with fellow ska acts Big D and the Kids Table and local reggae family The Forwards.
In an interview with Reggae Steady Ska last year, Steve said he’s been sitting on some music and that The Pietasters still love to perform: “I’m still very enthusiastic and naïve and excited about seeing friends and drinking beers and stuff like that. That’s why I do it. I can’t speak for the rest of the guys in the band but it’s just really fun to have a good time. There’s still music and fun in The Pietasters’ future!”
Don’t miss your chance to see them at home in the 9:30 Club! Buy your tickets online.
