Lord Huron continues to take their lauded live show on the road with the band’s acclaimed new album, Vide Noir, released last year on Whispering Pines and Republic Records. Lord Huron takes the show to The Chrysalis at Merriweather Park on Tuesday, July 23!
Vide Noir debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart and the single “Wait by the River” hit #14 on the US Triple A chart. In a review for The Line of Best Fit, Steven Loftin lauded Lord Huron for maintaining the band’s “heart-wrenching folk” and lacing it with “questioning promise.”
“While the folk-essence lies below and often comes through in its truest form, the developments are clear and passionately welcomed all across Vide Noir. Where a band like Mumford & Sons abandoned ship from their beginnings to a mixed result, it sounds like Lord Huron have managed to evolve forward incorporating electric elements in a major way without forfeiting any kind of integrity,” Steven wrote.

The Chrysalis at Merriweather Park is a stunning work of futuristic urban art as well as a 5,000-square foot concert stage, which reaches 60 feet into the air. Located among the trees adjacent to Merriweather Post Pavilion, the open-air venue hosts concerts and cultural events. It’s as big as Carnegie Hall!
To get to The Chrysalis, park as you would at Merriweather Post Pavilion and enter the Merriweather gates. Staff will direct you to the Symphony Woods, where The Chrysalis awaits!
