The Cactus Blossoms, fronted by brother duo Jack Torrey and Page Burkum, performs at Pearl Street Warehouse on Friday, Oct. 18, supporting their acclaimed new album, Easy Way.
Known for their seamless sibling harmonies a la the Everly Brothers, The Cactus Blossoms were tapped to open for Jenny Lewis at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium earlier this year and their headline shows have been featured as must-sees by the Philly Inquirer, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Boston Globe, and New York Times, who hailed the new album’s “sunny outlook… with heart-on-its-sleeve lyrics.”
Easy Way, the follow-up to their breakthrough album, You’re Dreaming, is a stunning and transporting collection of original songs that found The Cactus Blossoms featured on the third season of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks and garnered overwhelming acclaim and Americana radio play as well as tour stints with Kelly Musgrave and Lucius.
Watch The Cactus Blossoms perform “Please Don’t Call Me Crazy” live at First Avenue on YouTube:
“The Cactus Blossoms maintain their rock-solid, freak of genetics harmonies… scuffing up their sound in a Roy Orbison-meets-Television style,” said Rolling Stone.
