Riley Green, one of the biggest names in country music today, stopped off in Baltimore at Pier Six Pavilion to a sold-out show last week and played one of the finest country shows of the year, supported by Ella Langley, Lauren Watkins, and Preston Cooper. Green is currently touring the USA on his Damn Country Music Tour, and he is selling out those shows in support of his latest album, Don’t Mind If I Do.

Riley’s latest album, released in the fall of 2024, features continued duets with Ella Langley, including the title track “Don’t Mind If I do”, and Riley’s sensational “Worst Way.”

Seeing Green in concert was the chance to hear all the great songs he writes up close and in-person at Pier Six on June 12. Green’s voice is one of the best in country and sounded great live in concert.

From the opening dynamic crowd response to Green’s arrival on stage to the very end, the audience participated in singing along to the songs, and were very appreciative of the duets Green and Langley sang together, including their sensational song from 2024, “You Look Like You Love Me”, which was released on Langley’s album Hungover in 2024. The song won the Academy of Country Music Award for Visual Media of the Year this year.

Preston Cooper and Lauren Watkins put on outstanding sets opening the show, before Langley came on and played a very dynamic set, including the hit song currently on country radio, “Weren’t for the Wind.” Langley’s set was very well received as she played some of her best songs such as “Nicotine” and “Better Be Tough.”

The fans were highly anticipating Green’s set, as he strolled onto the stage and easily established rapport with the audience. This mood continued throughout the show as Green sung songs ranging from his No. 1 country song “There Was This Girl” to covering Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” and “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” to other songs by Thomas Rhett and Jamey Johnson. Green acknowledged the crowd’s patriotic vibe during this show as he played a tribute to Keith to huge fan applause.

As the show progressed during the evening, Green always took time to thank the crowd for their support, which has helped out tremendously during his continued rise on the country charts. Arguably, one of the best parts of the show was the two songs Green did with Langley, which also included “Don’t Mind if I Do”, the title track from his latest album.

Green finished his show with two encore songs — “I Wish Grandpas Never Died”, one of his greatest songs to date, and a final cover of Alabama’s “Dixieland Delight,” which left the fans singing and dancing and wanting more music.

If you have not seen Green in concert yet, it should be on your bucket-list, especially if you love great country music as Green continues his monumental rise to the top of the country music stratosphere. The show at Pier Six Pavillion was outstanding from beginning to end.
