Andy Frasco, the musician, podcast host, and all-around force of nature, headed to 9:30 Club for a performance at 9:30 Club. The show followed the release of his new album, Growing Pains.
Growing Pains is Frasco’s 10th studio album — and the first he’s produced himself. It balances rowdy singalongs with more introspective songwriting, featuring collaborations with Billy Strings, G. Love, Eric Krasno, Steve Poltz, and Mike Gordon. Singles include the glass-half-full anthem “Try Not to Die” and the tongue-in-cheek protest track “Life Is Easy,” which Relix called “a solid candidate for a generational anthem.”

Frasco has spent the past 15+ years building a devoted following through relentless touring, a genre-blurring sound, and a singular mix of humor, chaos, and vulnerability. His live shows are euphoric and unpredictable — part soul revue, part jam session, part punk rock mayhem, and part group therapy. Offstage, he’s just as unfiltered, opening up about mental health, addiction, and burnout with the same honesty he brings to his music. He also hosts The World Saving Podcast, where he’s welcomed guests like Tony Hawk and Margaret Cho, and remains a passionate advocate for mental health awareness.
Frederick, Maryland’s own Natalie Brooke opened Andy Frasco & The U.N.
Steve says: “Good songs, from a really talented, tight band. Plus, she rocks the keytar. I saw her two years ago at the Hot August Music Festival and I really like how this new lineup fits together. And shout out to her Dad, who was clearly very proud of his daughter.”
