Moogfest is the ultimate synthesizer festival, presenting daytime chats and art installations and nighttime concert performances across mutiple venues in Durham, North Carolina, Today, Moogfest revealed the bulk of its night time programming for the 2017 festival, scheduled for May 18-21. And Parklife DC is giving away a pair of general admission tickets to Moogfest 2017!
Moogfest unveiled its night program of musical performers, led by Flying Lotus, Animal Collective, Suzanne Ciani, Derrick May, 808 State, Simian Mobile Disco, Syrinx, Jessy Lanza, and Function. Moogfest consists of two halves — Future Sound (the night performances) and Future Thought (the day conference). Many of the musical guests also are participating in the conference program. Find Future Thought programming at http://www.moogfest.com/program.
Update: Moogfest also will feature a daytime exclusive installation from music luminary Michael Stipe. Stipe’s installation will be an audiovisual exploration of desire and movement and will feature a rare solo composition from the legend himself.
Moogfest has also invited artists like Gotye and Peanut Butter Wolf to help honor some of the innovative musicians we lost in 2016, including Jean-Jacques Perrey, Pauline Oliveros, Bernie Worrell, and Keith Emerson. This is just one part of the FREE all-ages program led by DJ Lance Rock (of Yo Gabba Gabba!) and other comedians and performers.
As we count down to the festival, Moogfest has been releasing exclusive music and mixes online. Below are some of those exclusives by Moogfest artists.

Wow… Parklife DC, you rock! Moog is such a huge part of my own musical sound. It would be an incredible experience to be among so many other Moog enthusiasts and to hear both Animal Collective and Flying Lotus live!
Hey! I’m really looking forward to seeing Syrinx, and Laurie Spiegel’s new score. Should be illuminating.

With the high cost of everything these days, it nice to have an opportunity to win festival tickets. Each performer has their own style and sound; It would be a pleasure to see them all especially Suzanne Ciani, Derrick May, Jessy Lanza, Princess Nokia, or Flying Lotus.
I would love to see Simian Mobile Disco!
