Dan Croll released Emerging Adulthood, his second studio album, via Kobalt Music Group and Communion Records in July. In conjunction with the record, he’s launched a headlining tour that arrives at Rock and Roll Hotel on Friday, Sept. 8.
Dan’s recent single “Bad Boy” demonstrates his growth and sophistication as a songwriter, combining textures of old-fashioned jazz and vintage-rock instrumentation with modern pop structures.
In an interview with Billboard, Dain said “Bad Boy” is “about what seemed to be a common phase of teenage life, where either the girls wanted the stereotypical bad boy, or the guys tried to become the stereotypical bad boy, and how at the end of the day it all came down to a lack in confidence and usually ended in tears.”

Since releasing debut album Sweet Disarray in 2014, Dan hit #3 on the Billboard Alternative New Artists, garnered 69 million streams on Spotify (including 26 million streams for his breakaway hit “From Nowhere”), and made his television debut playing “From Nowhere” on Jimmy Kimmel.
“In concert, Dan and his companions were rather earnest performers, which hides a devilish sense of humor that he depicts in his music videos,” I wrote in a Parklife DC review of Dan’s show at 9:30 Club in October 2016. “All in all, Dan is a bright, playful entertainer with a very cool presence.”
