DC-based hip-hop trio RDGLDGRN broadcasts two free livestream performances in support of Capital Area Food Bank via Facebook Live on Friday, March 20.
After cancelling a six week tour due to the threat of the coronavirus, RDGLDGRN, pronounced “red, gold, green,” released a music video for their new song “Danger,” a single from their upcoming album, Something About Danger.
As a band that has always focused on community and togetherness, RDGLDGRN are using their platform to help those who are affected the most by the current pandemic and will give a portion of the donations they receive throughout the livestreams to the Capital Area Food Bank’s COVID Relief efforts, which focus on delivering food to families who rely on support programs to eat.
“This crisis exposes the most vulnerable communities and members of society to disruptions in social services most people take for granted. We want to take action through this performance to raise awareness of all the kids and families in the DC area who are struggling just to have meals that the public school system provides normally,” said the band’s King Green.
